when i put a reply in a thread i cant get back to the position i was before i typed the message so i have to triple back is this right or am i thick and missing a direction icon

 ive had to ask myself for a few pointers  , i don't mind admitting to being a dummy  , apparently there's a new look being applied in the near future so i'll have to ask again anyway
