I just thought i'd introduce myself to you all...
i was lucky enough to grow up in the eighties and see the gradual rise and fall (around '89) of the real bmx era.I seemed to grow up around raleigh and had a red raleigh racing car, boxer, grifter, blue and yellow tuff burner and after much dreaming and saving,my beloved aero pro.
I didn't race for anyone and would class myself as a street bmxer. My mates and i built ramps out of everything and had wheelie and bunny hop competitions with the other 300 bmx kids in the estate. Some of the things i did on the pro you wouldn't see on jackass........how that bike kept together i'll never know.
The aero pro may be looked down on by some but it was the best affordable real bmx bitd. The raleigh burner was the original street bike and i will love it for giving me the best childhood ever
Sorry for going on a bit .......great site dudes.
