i saw the thread from chris young & thought the fotos were cool & thought i should share the similar fotos i've got from the early days of BMX. chris was wicked, a year or two younger than me, but a great rider. back then you rode everything, not just street, vert or whatever. i rode mainly in the north west but raced plenty of nationals for the ABC team. i raced at the first paris bercy event & did really well. i was also close to getting second (behind geth shooter awesome rider & pretty cool as well) in the 84 or 85 british champs in derby but i fell off at the last corner. anyway, i've attached a foto of myself, andy preston & aaron goddard at the rochdale track in about 85. i'm on the prototype GT performer that i got off the GT importer. i had to give up riding soon after due to a bad break. anyway, get in touch old dudes

i still see aze goddard now and again and always with him in the early eighties up to 84 when work and girls took over, i know aze continued for a short while after

i still go to heywood track for a roll around with my little boy now and again, its had a big make over....

i presume aze is the one jumping on the left on the hutch?
