Well I'm new on here and i couldn't resist responding to all this twat about Raleigh burners...try buying em in Australia guys..they are rarer than Rocking horse S..T..and if you buy em on Ebay from the old dart or the US of A..then the freight can be 4 times the auction or purchase winning price..i am from Darlington originally and have been here since 1968..and missed the BMX revolution BITD but i now collect and do em up..and yeerrrrp i have all the brands ..but the ones i sought the most were Raleigh BMX"s..coz they are so hard to get or win..I have a Chinaman Red Rampar XL11 a Chrome American "Viper" XL 11 and a Black and Gold burner..no tuffs so far..so i love em...and they are part of British BMX history..they are what they are guys..be proud of them..and then we add the name Tange..and somehow thats Japanese high end steel...and then we have freestyle BMX with 20 different components and every color of the rainbow..and thats kool..but if you have a frame..then put on it whatever you want..isnt that the rules..no rules..or original..N.O.S..if you can get the parts...think we all need to take a chill pill guys..its Raleigh its British..and thats it...That should put the cat amongst the pidgeons....Get off your high horses and get out and ride your BMX...thats what its about isn't it? ?? thats enuff from me......Hello everyone from Kev in Perth Western Australia

Hello Kev, great bit of Passion there bud, i dont think anyone on here feels the Burner wasnt a part of bmx history, you do have the guys who like to wind the burner boys up, but from my perspective, i only ever had Burners the whole era. Be good to see some pics of your bikes bud, put them in Bike Talk, and then in the Show us your bikes under Raleigh, welcome aboard, anyone with that much passion about bmx is more than welcome, just a shame your from Darlington im from Hartlepool haha

Artleepoooool..ohh well at least its not Colchester or Notts County..although my grandad did play football for them both in the 40"s and 50"s Fred Coulthard was his name ..yerr mate i love the Raleighs..im a bit of an old technophobe on here..well not really i will learn to load up pics and stuff..get a bit apprehensive bout stuffing em up and norm get my kids to help..but ive got like 120 +bikes collected in less than 2 years(for the retirement fund )and like close to half of em or so are BMX..everything Redlines Mongeys Haro"s Diamondbacks Raleighs, Aussie Classic Supermaxes Super Maxi"s Hotfoots..even found a Czecoslovakian "Velamos" Complete on the side of the road in Australia(bulk rubbish pickup)..so yerr someone took a wrong turn at the lights i reckon..hahahaha ....i like the tone on here got some passionate dudes on the crew..i will see what i can do with pics and stuff..I keep them all in "found or bought condition" to me thats keepin it real..though i can see how you guys do em up to mint and show..i just cant afford it man..so i service em adjust em..upgrade parts where i can afford it..and i have to be happy with that....cheers again for the reply and thanks for the warm welcome..rgds Kev.

hi bigkev, i'm always having a pot at burners, never serious, just tongue in cheek and teasing, i even aquired one the other week, minted it up and sold it to a mate, and get this, i was going to keep it... ;D i have in my collection plenty of low end stuff (team murray, huffy), and to me these are the bikes we all had, like burners, so they definately have a place on this website... my bet is the people that comment usually are teasing as well, really just as we did bitd... sam
